Romantic Picnic Food Ideas for

Your Romantic Date

Ah, romance. Love is the fuel that drives the world, and enhancing romance just keeps that engine going. When we start dating it is wonderful. Life seems better and brighter than it was before you met your special someone; flowers smell brighter; the colors are more vibrant; and food tastes even more magnificent. Thus, it is easy to see why someone would want to keep this going. To help you with this quest, and with giving your relationship that continued romantic spark that you need, here are three romantic picnic food ideas for you.

Picnic Food Idea #1: Chocolate Makes the World Go Round

In a relationship chocolate makes everything better. Whether its a bad day, an argument, or an illness, chocolate that is appropriately used can brighten anyone’s bad mood. And when things are going great, it can make them even better. Try this out the next time you go on a picnic with your special someone. Take fresh strawberries. Melt some chocolate in a pan, then dip the strawberries in them. Let them cool in the refrigerator. This will let the chocolate set. When you go on your picnic, take these out and feed them to your date. It will make his or her mouth melt.

For better results, use multiple coats of chocolate, like white chocolate, milk chocolate, and dark chocolate.

Picnic Food Idea #2: Romantic Fruit Smoothies

The next time you go on a picnic during the day – especially to the beach! – then pack a cold fruit smoothie with you. You can mix and match fruits for your smoothie, and you can’t really go wrong, but just to be sure, try these combinations. For a sweet, smooth drink, use strawberries, peaches, and bananas. For a more tangy, exotic combination, throw in pineapple, mango, and kiwi. For something truly wild and different, put in pomegranate, grapefruit, orange, and lime. Just pop these in, blend them with ice, and there you have it.

To add more romance to this picnic food idea, put whipped cream on top in the shape of a heart. They will love that!

Picnic Food Idea #3: Delicious Strawberry Shortcake

There are many fun and romantic desserts to serve as romantic picnic food ideas, and strawberry shortcake is but one. But what a dessert! These are sweet because they are small enough to feed your significant other with them – which can be very intimate. The best way to make these is to take premade shortcake cups that you can find at a supermarket. Fill them with fresh, cut strawberries mixed with a light strawberry glaze. Top it off with Reddi-wip or some other whipped cream. You can also drizzle thin chocolate syrup over your dessert, or even put a little powdered sugar around the edges.

To enhance this picnic food idea, try cutting two thin strawberry slices and placing them together on top of your strawberry shortcake in the shape of a heart.

Well, the above romantic food ideas should give you a good start as to what you can prepare and bring to a romantic picnic. Be it at a moonlit lake, or at a hot and sultry beach, or even a sweet foray into the forest, these romantic picnic food ideas will really enhance your date.
